Elder
P- is keeping the 'Caloocan Seals' going!!
Old
Testament is almost done! Just started Ezekial, so many things to absorb!
I've
made a study project about what "fear of the Lord" means, and I left
my study journal at home, but I've learned a lot! I would love to send the
references but here is just a summary. Fear of the Lord = beginning of wisdom;
love; reverence; obedience; knowing that He fights your battles; not fearing
others; peace.
Some
more summaries: if you want to get really good at dealing with people, read
Dale Carnegies "Golden Book" and Proverbs by King Solomon. So many
gems of truth to be found in Proverbs like holding your tongue, a wise man
loves rebuke (feedback) and many many others.
The
project with the car is ending, the District just needs to send an application
at the end of the year and by December or January, it will be made into a
stake!
Thanks
for everyone who has followed my emails. I appreciate the time you take to
think of missionaries. I am coming home this May 16, and this is my last
time to email. Let's please remember and pray for the work that continues to go
on though! My mission may end, but thousands more are just starting. The stone
cut without hands will roll forth until the restoration of all things. I know
that Jesus lives, He is the Christ. He will reign in glory and perfection and
guide us home. I'm so grateful for these past 2 years. I have grown to know my
Father in Heaven, my God. I have felt the messenger of truth, the Spirit of God
touch my life and others, in a most real and profound way. I know that the Book
of Mormon is the word of God. Without out I would not know who Christ really
is. I would be lost. Without the restoration of the Church of Christ through
Joseph Smith we all would.
I
hope we all come to a greater understanding of our Savior. We are so blessed to
have a living prophet, Russell M. Nelson. We see through a glass darkly now,
but all will be made clear, and in my experience this happens
incrementally.
My 2
years as a full time missionary are up! I have no regrets, because when we fail
we fail forward, we can keep moving! I am not perfect, but I have done my best
to do what is right!
I
can't wait to keep serving, and to discover new and even better adventures.
There is so much waiting for all of us! I love you all dearly, and for the last
time, thanks for reading!
Love,
Elder
